The reflections as a Medical Reenactor portraying Capt. Edward Powers of the 7th Missouri Infantry Volunteers
Off to the quarterly meeting of the Westport Historical Society tonight as the quest of the program chairperson. 7th Missouri Medical will be the topic. Civil War Correspondence with the 7th and 30th will be a prime discussion topic. I'll have the envelope display with me.

Jim (aka Edward M. Powers) is a 63 year old man who enjoys the pleasures of life. All my life I have tried new adventures. This is evidenced by my many interests and hobbies. I have worked on the Ocean for NOAA, served as a severe storm spotter, a school board member and board president, birded on Amazon River and the rain forests of Ecuador. All this sandwiched into a thirty-nine year career as a Special Needs instructor with the troubled Kansas City Missouri School District. Before my death, I want to visit the Moon on vacation and see the return of Hailey's Comet.
