UNION STATION EVENT at Kansas City

Gentlemen,

If you are not on the MSN Site you may not be aware of this wonderful opportunity to foster a strong relationship with the Irish Cultural Center and Museum at Union Station. Lt. Kace has been working tirelessly to make this happen for the 7th and 30th Consolidated Infantry Volunteers.

In a nut shell:
Encampment at the Irish Cultural Center and Museum, Sunday, February 24, 2008.
Time: 10:00 a.m. set –up. The Doors to the Museum will open at 12:00 noon on the 24th.The encampment will include 1st person camp life, demonstrations and presentations.

IDEA
This would be a perfect time/event to have the February monthly meeting of the Unit. UNION STATION is perfectly centered in the MIB area. It’s just about the same distance from Harrisonville as it is from the St, Joe area.

As per Kace’s posts on the MSN site:
NUMBERS DO COUNT. The entire IRISH Community in the Kansas City area will be watching and talking about this event and exhibit. I know both AOH divisions and the LOH women’s’ divisions will discuss it. Twenty-five or so IRISH Civil War reenactors strolling thru the halls of UNION STATION in Uniform will certainly generate questions to all and possibly recruits for the unit. I believe it would be prudent to continue to cultivate a sound working relationship with the IRISH CULTURAL CENTER and MUSEUM. Good things will come of it if we do a good job this coming February 24. i.e.. Invitations to other encampments and events. Kace and the UNIT need your help!

Kace and I, and any anyone else who wishes, can be on the radio program "Celtic Crossings" on Sunday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. on HotTalk 1510 Radio to discuss the IRISH Civil War Exhibit and the 7th and 30th Consolidated Infantry Volunteers. You can listen to the free streaming audio of the show as well. Here is the url http://www.1510.com/ . This show has a wide worldwide. Listener ship i.e.….Canada, Ireland, Iraq etc... as evidenced by the calls received. You are encouraged to call in as well at 913-491-8255

Kace is correct! We need almost everyone to to turnout and be present. NUMBERS MEN NUMBERS. This is an important event for the UNIT, Please help out and be there in Uniform with your equipment.
