Getting Ready for Lexington
On Saturday Margaret and I took Aaron to AmeriStar for Breakfast. After that Margaret and I went to James County to look around. Margaret purchased an interesting color book on women's clothing.
The lacquered box Mr. Mandrake made for me is just great. It is a fine addition to my medical collection.
I placed an order for a Steward's Backpack from Dixie Leatherworks. I began work on new simulated intestines. Purchased some more morticians wax, fake blood and some more latex to make burns. Ordered an ether cone.
Began plans for some stretchers. Gave thought to my bed for the coming campaign season. I have a portable mattress that would be perfect. Maybe Margaret will make a ticking cover form it to hid the modern design.
Lt. Mike Miller called and invited me to the Drill weekend in Amity, Mo. the 2nd Colorado is having.
The Winter Gathering went well. I was somewhat disappointed at the turnout but twenty-one isn't a bad turnout. I was hoping for 30-35.
Sgt Lucky emailed me. He has moved to San Antonio Texas and has a teaching position. He has retired from the MIB.. I'll miss him.
I will try to see if I can make contact with Mr. Mallory (Paul).
I need to get into contact with Paul Byrne about the box he is making.
Terry wanted the web addresses of suttlers who have clothing sets for sale. Sent the information on Fall Creek (which has the best deal ) and R&N in California.
I need to round the corners on the surgical table. Re-nail the supports on the table Mr. Mandrake made for me. Get a large clamp and re-glue the legs and supports on my chair. Go get the black iron and have my fireset made in Chillowee as well as the tent stake pullers and fire pokers.
Re-glue the pegs on the tent fly poles before the Lexington Muster. I need to look for a small covered trailer. I have too much to transport in the back of the truck or the Explorer now.
This morning I answered an email from Pat Porter. Pat enjoyed the time at Kyles on Friday.
My Camp Chase Gazette hasn't arrived yet this year.
I must find the web site for the Battle Of Charleston.
